Me, major in IoT engineering, senior year.
Spent these four years grinding frontend development, but since IoT is hardware-oriented, I haven't learned it very well.
Six months left, planning to build a smart lock using an ESP32 (the topic is super cliche, but I really can't think of anything else🤣), thinking of writing a nice GUI with LVGL and getting it integrated with HomeKit.
First time trying all this, looking forward to guidance from the experts here in the village.
Documenting progress here in the Er-Tou Village, will update when I have time.

After graduating with a degree in IoT Engineering, I've been working in backend development and have been keeping track of industry news here and there. On October 4, 2022, the Matter 1.0 standard was officially released and opened for certification (it is the successor to the Zigbee protocol). In the future, more smart home devices will join the Matter ecosystem. While this isn't exactly new technology, it is a new concept, so pivoting slightly towards this direction could provide a good highlight (something to boast about during the thesis defense).
